The film is divided into eight chapters that follow the lives of Ramanna and Raghavan as they cross paths in Mumbai. Here is a brief summary of each chapter:

Chapter 1: The Locked Room

In 2013, Raghavan visits a drug dealer to buy cocaine but finds him and another man murdered. He receives a hammer in his car followed by an anonymous phone call from Ramanna, who claims to be his fan.

Chapter 2: The Sister

In 2015, Ramanna surrenders to the police and confesses to killing nine people. He escapes from custody with the help of some boys. He goes to his sister Lakshmi's house for food but gets into an argument with her husband. He leaves but returns at night to kill them both with a hammer.

Chapter 3: The Hunt Begins

In 2016, Raghavan is assigned to investigate the murders of Lakshmi and her husband. He finds Ramanna's fingerprints at the crime scene and learns about his previous confession. He also meets Simmy (Dhulipala), a forensic expert who is his love interest.

Chapter 4: The Hunter

Ramanna continues to kill people randomly, leaving clues for Raghavan to find him. He also stalks Raghavan and Simmy, observing their relationship. He calls Raghavan and tells him that he is his soulmate and that they are both killers.

Chapter 5: The Hunted

Raghavan becomes addicted to drugs and alcohol, and starts to lose his grip on reality. He abuses Simmy and suspects her of cheating on him. He also gets into trouble with his superiors for his violent and erratic behavior.

Chapter 6: The Trap

Ramanna lures Raghavan to a deserted location, where he reveals that he has kidnapped Simmy. He forces Raghavan to play a game of Russian roulette with him, where the loser will die. Raghavan shoots himself but survives, while Ramanna shoots Simmy and kills her.

Chapter 7: The Confession

Ramanna takes Raghavan to his hideout, where he shows him his collection of trophies from his victims. He tells him that he is Raman and that Raghavan is Raghav, and that they are destined to be together. He confesses that he was the one who killed the drug dealer and the other man in 2013, and that he planted the hammer in Raghavan's car to make him his partner.

Chapter 8: The Soulmates

Raghavan breaks free from Ramanna's clutches and attacks him with a knife. He stabs him repeatedly, but Ramanna does not resist. He smiles and says that he loves him. Raghavan collapses next to him, as they both lie in a pool of blood.

The Characters: A Study of Evil and Madness

The film explores the complex and twisted personalities of the main characters, who are both driven by their own demons and obsessions. Here is a brief analysis of each character:

Ramanna: The Serial Killer

Ramanna is a psychopath who believes that he is God's messenger and that he has a divine right to kill anyone he wants. He is inspired by the real-life serial killer Raman Raghav, who he considers his idol. He is also fascinated by Raghavan, who he sees as his mirror image and his soulmate. He is ruthless, cunning, and charismatic, but also delusional, lonely, and insecure. He has a twisted sense of humor and a childlike innocence, which makes him even more unpredictable and dangerous.

Raghavan: The Cop

Raghavan is a corrupt cop who has a drug addiction and a violent temper. He is also a womanizer who cheats on his girlfriend Simmy. He is haunted by his past, which involves his abusive father and his estranged brother. He is arrogant, impulsive, and reckless, but also smart, brave, and loyal. He has a sense of justice and duty, but also a dark side that makes him capable of killing without remorse. He is drawn to Ramanna, who he hates but also admires. b70169992d
